A Saskatchewan teenager has died following a highway collision near Hepburn over the weekend. On Sept. 12, Rosthern RCMP responded around 10:10 p.m. to a two-vehicle collision on Highway #12, north of the Highway #312 intersection. An investigation found a truck and SUV collided. The driver of the SUV, a 16-year-old girl from Shellbrook, was declared dead at the scene. Her family has been notified. A passenger in the SUV was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the truck, 22-year-old Riley Farthing of Blaine Lake, was also taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He’s since been charged with one count of operation while impaired of motor vehicle causing death. He made his first court appearance in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Monday. RCMP continue to investigate the collision.
