A woman from Kawacatoose First Nation is dead following a single vehicle rollover on the weekend. On Sept. 7, at around 5:30 a.m., RCMP officers in Southey received a report of a vehicle rollover on Highway 20, north of Govan, Sask. Officers responded along with local firefighters and paramedics. The driver of the vehicle was declared dead at the scene by EMS. She was identified as a 30-year-old woman from Kawacatoose First Nation. Police say the woman’s family has been notified. Another woman, who was a passenger, was taken to hospital by paramedics with injuries described as “serious in nature.” Southey RCMP continue to investigate the crash with the help of collision reconstructionist.
